ENGR016 - Smart Wheelchair Controlled by Face

The purpose of this research was to invent and test the efficiency of an intelligent face-controlled electric wheelchair to solve the problem of mobility impaired people who cannot use their wrists and increase the convenience of using electric wheelchairs. It is programmed in Python in Visual Studio code in conjunction with Opencv Mediapipe Libraries to capture images from webcams and analyze face orientation by quickly generating points to display real-time facial features and sending them to arduino and C++. in the Arduino IDE to control and instruct the arduino to control the motors through the hub motor controller.By the body of this invented electric wheelchair It is a four wheeled wheelchair that uses the rear two wheels as a hub motor which is powered by a 10 ampere-hour battery. The potential difference is 24 volts, which can move forward, turn left, turn right. stop in place By force by bending the head, turning left, turning right, looking straight. This wheelchair is designed to suitable for users weighing 75 or less. For those weighing 67.5, the speed is 2.94 km/hr. And test the accuracy of commanding an average of 98.75, which is highly accurate. Based on these two tests, it was found that this electric wheelchair has the same speed as any other electric wheelchair on the market and it has control accuracy. so for the elderly degenerative disease patients and people with mobility disabilities they are necessary to use a face-controlled electric wheelchair.
